Income Limits
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for admission to Public Housing or the Housing Choice Voucher Program, an applicant must have an annual income that does not exceed the income limits established by HUD.
These income limits are updated annually and are posted in the PHA (Public Housing Authority) offices.
Income limits are determined by household size and county median income as defined by HUD.
Verification
Applicants are required to provide documentation verifying all sources of income for each household member.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Employment income
- Social Security benefits
- VA benefits
- TANF or public assistance
- Child support
- Unemployment or worker’s compensation
ICHC will verify this information as part of the application and recertification process.
